I am all for tattoos, have a few but I dont think I would  get one of a band or person.  If I were able to get Daron to autograph my arm or thigh I might get it inked.

I have seen a System tattoo on a guy at Ozzfest some years ago, thought it was a bad idea then.
Still do.
I have some tattoos and my man is covered, all good. But to get a name of your favorite band is silly.
Like getting the name of of a lover, what if that changes and you are stuck with it?

But like AP, would get one if Daron signed me in a well hidden place, then would get it tattooed.

I don't see a problem...

After all, most people use tattoos as a way of documenting their lives one way or another, so surely if something or someone has meant something special to them at some point a tattoo would be a good way to celebrate that. Okay I don't advocate a 13 year-old girl having Hannah Montana's name emblasoned across her forehead, heheh... but a System of a Down (or Scars on Broadway for that matter) tattoo somewhere, done tastefully, can't be a bad thing surely?

why not...

I acuatlly do have a tattoos related to bands who really meant for me and my teens years, it helped me a lot to go through hard times and made the person I am today... I never regretted it and I think I never will... Maybe not writing scars on broadway, but something more subtler... I'm now thinking of getting a new one related to SOB/SOAD, something written in armenian... that would be nice on my neck :)

you're already thinking of gettin 1?  THey haven't even played a live show  yet.

I like band tattoos when they are done in a subtle way and/or when they not immediately give away that they are band related to people who don't know the band. Like, that type of asterix RHCP have, or the "O" from Opeth's or A Perfect Circle's logos. I know a few people who have a happy mushroom on a pogostick; it makes me smile while most people have no idea what that is about. I also like to see lyric-tats that could mean something to someone regardless of them being lyrics.

Little old hypocrite me.

I met this woman a couple weeks ago who had a litle tattoo at the nape of her neck as a so long to her hero Joe Strummer.
It says "iron serenity"  Very cool.
So today I went and had a little tiny "3005" inked on my neck.
I was there getting a touch up on another tattoo, this popped into my head so I did it.
I doubt to many will know what it means and thats great...3005 is my favorite Scars song.

PlasticFantasy, I know someone who has the little mushroom tattoo, very cute.

Guilty of a SOAD tattoo... Scars one still being designed... but for the life of me, I cant get the pic to come up, so you'll have to make do with a link.

i'm not into tattoos, but if I get one it won't be a band tattoo, cuz I love each band for 2 yeasr (i mean I'M MAD ABOUT IT)but after all i sort the best tracks and delete all others.so I won't listen to Scars all my life that means - no tattoo at all!
