It's be nice if we knew wtf was going on with Daron. The SOAD board crew are genuinely concerned now because it's been so long since there was any news whatsoever.

Yeah yeah, I know, privacy and all that, but seriously, we would just wanna know he's ok.

1 year ago today Scars played their first big concert at Coachella. Feels like this year has flown by. KFMA day was yesterday here in Tucson and couldn't measure up what Scars did at KFMA day last year. I listened to their album all the way through the other day and I still love it. Im gonna miss this band. :( I hope Daron is doing better with his situation.

Scars on broadway features the BEST lyrics and GREAT melodic songs!
I am so glad that I found this band randomly :p
Listening to SOAD since I was 12 years old. And now: an all new, GREAT album. And how you actually make it better than SOAD being only two members is kinda weird! But oh my god how amazed I am!

A fan recently talked to John at the Greg Watermann FOREST Project event, and when they asked if Daron was alright, John said the thing about Daron is he's a troubled artist but that he was fine and he talked to him the other day. Just thought I'd let this place know since people seem so concerned. Check out SOADfans.com if you want up to date news on these guys, for some sick strange reason you all may have and for God knows what motives.

Hey,i just wanna tell u that there are a lot of fans out there that would love to see S.O.A.D again together.You were really awesome,anyway i dont know the reason you split but please make any efforts you can to re-form System Of A Down.It would be great if it happenned :D

Well, I'll lay it out this way...........Daron and John, dont listen to these retards!!!!!!!!!!!
You guys rock all the way and you should keep going your own way. System was truly huge, but now is apparently done, so keep doing your own stuff. The album is fucking fantastic.............What else is there to say. Oh yes, I'm 50 years old and I still listen to the album EVERY day.

When i first heard System's songs, i was like wow. when i watched CHOP SUEY i thought System is the best and no other band could ever replace them... time went by, no new songs, no nothing... And now SCARS ON BROADWAY!!! I'm the happiest person in the universe! to tell you the truth, i like SCARS ON BROADWAY more than i liked System... the lyrics, the music, the inspiration, guys, i love you!

I just started listening to your album this week after a friend told me about you. I was and still am a huge system fan and I was really excited when I heard about scars. After listening to the album I am extremely impressed and look forward to hearing more from you guys. Also, I hope you do some more concerts because i would absolutely love to see you guys live.

hi im new to the boards despite i've listen to scars for awhile, but yeah i think we all woul like to know something about Daron. Personally im really concerned about him and his safety, and we'd all like to hear him again. I've been a fan of him since 2000 aand i never got to see him perform live, im really hoping scars on broadway come back, im dying to see them its like seriouly my life goal to see Daron live either with Scars or with System.

My name is Jamie, Im from the UK and have been an avid system fan since I was first introduced to them around 8 years ago.

System to me are/ were one of the most important influences in my life. I had never followed a band like I had system, knowing all songs on all albums like the back of my hand. With every album release there was immense excitement. I love how system changed over the years, testing themselves and continuing to bring out music that I found to be set apart from anything else I had ever heard.

When system announced the Hiatus I was obviously devastated but I was very happy to have a consolation of all artists to still be working on there own material. It was clear to me that all would be slightly different from systems previous antics and I was eagerly awaiting everything.

I am a fan off Serj's solo album but think it is slightly lacking, in what I cant pin-point, but I still respect him as an outstanding talent and enjoy the majority of his stuff. There is something special about scars. I have always been (excuse the pun) Mezmerized by Daron. Looking at him and seeing through into his eyes and feeling a raw passion and a personal touch which is still unmatched by any artist I have been lucky enough to see.

I have become hugely into the new scars album and am truly hoping to see them live one day in the UK. I have read about dates being canceled and Darons health or state of mind to be questionable and to be honest I am just hoping all is ok and I have no problem in waiting until all is comfortable so that when the time comes it will be when it should be and not rushed to early.

I, as most, would love to see system back together as it is clear Daron and Serj compliment each other in a way that has grasped millions. but until that time I will be concentrating and what is at hand. Scars album is genius from start to finish. once again bring an entirely new uniqueness.I have a raw passion for scars as I did for system, as I did for Daron and as I hope to have for all off systems members as they continue to grow and mature as musicians.

Hope that all is well with you Daron, continue to do what you feel is right, and when your ready... Ill be waiting.

Do you understand what Soad Did for world peace, the music Known By millions was a spear tip in many different Places. but most of all it was A lot of peoples Favorite band and unless your all four together then it. Keeps making us wait. Like you all give a fuk. Support your fans as they supported you, and Make ANOTHER FUKING SOAD album. Yes your solo shit is great but its not SOAD. and Everyone will agree that We Need Soad damnit. ive seen you guys live like 4 times and i Want to see you again so. Suck UP UR Pride and DO IT FOR US PLEASE.

People need to stop talking like SOAD is the present , because the truth is it's come and gone. Scars is the future with hopefully some new material in the coming years. how Daron is feeling shouldnt be in question. after all , this first album was made according to that. for without it , scars woudnt be what it is. ive been listening to the album for almost a year. this music was very easily able to be related to events in my life and added to my insanity, lol. keep on rockin and stay true to what you guys want.

I loved System Of A Down... I like Scars On Broadway. Why don't I LOVE Scars On Broadway? Because System was too great to end just like that... don't get me wrong. I have SOB on my mp4 player and you have really good music but it's not the same!! It's like (and i'm just expressing my own feelings): Do you know Simon Says? well.. too me it's like SOAD is Simon Says and after it broke up it's like SOB are just 2 pieces of it. Not sure if you get me but... what the hell right? If only... ONLY... SOAD would do 1 last show It'd mean alot to alot of people. I hate the reasons you give for leaving SOAD. The 10 years ago factor... the crowd not shouting the System chant... anyway...I'm not even sure you read these comments but i had to let my feelings out. I'm sorry if you hate me now or just simply think i'm a crazy portuguese (and most of us are) that is out of his mind or anything like that.

PS: Not a great fan of Daron's new look. But heck! It's your life! Live it well!

Ok...i just watched a video on youtube of Daron and John saying that there isn't a chance that SoaD is going to get back together. I must say, i'm pretty pissed about this. No offense to Daron, but his voice is really annoying and constantly hearing it makes me not wanna listen to Scars on broadway. Daron may think his song writing is wonderful and his songs are great, but i read some lyrics for songs and they seem very generic and mainstream. When System was together, they didnt follow mainstream. They had a message. I believe everyone here can vouch for me in saying they remember the song "F*ck The System" The song had a simple melody and a very small lyric count, but it was a powerful song. SoaD made me stand and say "F*ck Them!" Now i want to ask you all, do you really want to hear about problems we already know about through a band called "Scars on broadway" or would you rather be lulled into submission by Serj's powerful voice? I know which one i'd choose and i guarantee the only reason most of you are here is because you've heard of Scars through SoaD's hiatus. So quit lying to yourself and go buy Toxicity again. Listen to Aerials and lose yourself all over again.

When i first heard the song They Say a few months ago, I fell in love instantly. After listening that song and adding it 2 my favs, i looked up more songs from SOB. Then i found World Long Gone!!!!! Best song ever!!!! im so totally stoked about this band and its my new fav band, even more than SOAD. :D

I'm listening to System of a Down since I was like 8. I flew all the way to UK just to buy Scars on Broadway's album. I really like all of its songs. I worship Daron, and my dream is to be in a concert of him... I hope it'll come true some day.

Daron i respect the decisions you make and i'm behind you 100% man keep doing what you gotta do to full fill your needs in whatever they may be. scars is one of the best bands with its own unique sound and i cant wait till things are back on track

Music and the state of the world.

When I look around me and I see the way people continue to not acknowledge their animal-like nature, and how they kill and destroy each other, I feel this deep dark hatred inside for humanity or humans in general.

When I listen to bands like Scars On Broadway and Daron's almost prophetic vocals of the state of the world and its dark underbellies and sub-cultures I smile.

I do not smile because I am some giddy teenager who wants to be anti-establishment or because I am a musician who wants to steal the sound, or some conspiracy nut who thinks everyone is going to get me.

I smile because for a very short moment in modern music someone broke through who actually got it, and had a grasp on the reality and told the tale how it was meant to be told without filtering it through censors and smokescreens.

I smiled because as a singer myself when I hear music like this I know that there is always a possibility that real messages surface and their is an audience out there for it.

I appreciate this music and when the Scars record came out it spoke to me exactly the way a record needed to at that time. As people these celebrities do not owe us anything. They do not owe us their time, photographs, or responses they just are Artists plain and simple and offer up their Art because that is all that they know how to do.

I do not care if Scars makes another record or if SOAD gets back together, I just wanted to say on this forum that I appreciated the glimpse that we have had into the creative mind of Daron and his music and it was inspiring and absolutely brilliant.

Cheers to you Daron! Music in the soul will ALWAYS be heard by the universe.
