A Message From Daron
I’ve read many of your postings and I owe it to all of you to respond:I understand all of your frustration and anger, and I never meant to let any of you down. Your support for Scars has been so important to me and the band. I would never cancel a tour unless I had real reasons and personal things that require my undivided attention. The music of Scars will live on, but now is a time when aspects of my life need to be tended to. I hope all of you can understand.-Daron
ATTENTION – IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
Scars on Broadway's North American tour, scheduled to begin October
19, as well as their October 14 performance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live,"
have been cancelled. Late last week, Malakian concluded that his heart
wasn't into touring at this time, so he made the decision to cancel all
scheduled performances. There are no plans to reschedule. Ticket
refund for the North American Tour will follow shortly.
Tour Promotion #2
The second tour promotion is much like the first. Scars is hitting the road and we want you guys to promote the shows, this time with flyers. The stickers were gone within days due to the overwhelming response, so for everyone that didn't get to participate in the first promotion, here's another chance.
If you live in one of the tour cities, send an email to scarsonbroadway@velvethammer.net with the subject line "2 - [CITY]". (For instance, yours might say 2 - VANCOUVER)
To participate, you must be able to promote HARD in a city where Scars is playing on this tour, and you must own a digital camera.
The best promoter will win this limited Scars banner below signed by the band. No one has this thing, so it's truly limited.
Scarring Kimmel
Scars on Broadway will make its network television debut on Tuesday, October 14 with an appearance on ABC-TV's "Jimmy Kimmel Live." While two songs will be broadcast on-air, the band will perform a free, five-song mini-concert on Kimmel's Outdoor Stage located right in the heart of Hollywood. "Jimmy Kimmel Live" airs at 12:05AM ET and PT/11:05PM CT.
